Every day, we wake up and are bombarded and overwhelmed with images via news channels, social media, advertising posters, signs and product labels. These images can inspire us, make us question and influence us. But are these images we view doctored and manipulated? What are they portraying, a truth or a false truth?

The invention of photography saw images altered by early pioneers. The medium lends itself to many editing processes, allowing photographers to change the narrative and a viewer’s perception.
